Introduction of the paper
PROTEOSAVETM used in fungal research

Plant-fungus interactions have been extensively studied. Plants produce secondary metabolites as a defense mechanism and some fungi can detoxify them. However, the details of the mechanisms of plant-fungus interactions are not fully understood.

This month, we would like to introduce a paper published in eLife: A parasitic fungus employs mutated eIF4A to survive on rocaglate-synthesizing Aglaia plants.

A new mechanism has been elucidated by which a plant parasitic fungus of the genus Ophiocordyceps bypasses the secondary metabolite rocaglates synthesized by Agraea phytoplantica. From this study, it is very interesting that plants and fungi are fighting their own battles around secondary metabolites synthesized by host plants.

50mL centrifuge tube of PROTEOSAVETM was used to process the cultured spores. Click “Read More” for more information. We would be happy to assist you in your research and other activities.

Another example of its use in fungal research is the use of PROTEOSAVETM plate 96F for fungicidal activity.

This is Tojo from S-Bio Business Division, and as we entered November, I feel the deepening of autumn. The other day, I felt the autumn with the scent of gingko trees on the street. Ginkgo trees are one of the fossil plants that have existed for about 200 million years. It is said to have been growing wild all over the world since ancient times, but it is amazing that it has been around even longer than the time of the dinosaurs.
This month, we are sending you our PROTEOSAVETM paper introduction. Please take a look.
